Qualifications
21 years old
High school diploma or GED
Possess a valid driver’s license in the United States
Have at least 2 year or 30,000 verifiable miles of over the road driving experience
Permanent resident of the United States
Medical Card needed
No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
Pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws
Drive weekdays home on weekends. 2 weeks out. 1 week in (if necessary)
Responsibilities
Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states
Follow instructions; Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.; locate read location on road maps
On time pick-ups and departures
Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed
Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times
Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
Maintain logs
Follow all applicable traffic laws
Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order
Skills
Knowledge of Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
Display patience, empathy, an ability to manage stress, the ability to work under pressure and adapt to adverse situations
Basic fundamental skills to read, write and speak the English language
Responsible for transporting goods from one place to another using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. Operates trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight.
